Leader In Me

Riley Roles
Leader in Me Seal

As a Leader in Me school, all students have the opportunity to participate in leadership roles in the classroom and throughout the school.  At Michael C. Riley, our students recently selected their Riley Role, a school-wide leadership role.  Each student chose a role that combines their personal interests and talents. Students will be training in their first role in October and will start putting those new skills into action soon.

The Riley Roles cover all areas of leadership need in our school.  We have daily roles, such as hall monitor and morning greeter, to make our school a safe and welcoming environment every day.  Other roles occur on a weekly and ongoing basis like our recyclers who collect recycling bins and publicity team who create and hang posters around the school.  We also have special event and hospitality roles to support our performances and welcome our visitors, such as the stage crew and the Riley Ambassadors.

Students at Michael C. Riley are excited about their new leadership roles and are ready to lead beyond the classroom!

Students learn about Riley Roles and select their role.
