The Leader in Me
program is a whole-child transformation model based on The Seven Habits
of Highly Effective People. At Michael C. Riley Elementary, students
will learn 21st century skills in critical thinking, decision making and
problem solving through real-time experiences that connect students to
academics, interests and possible career paths. We believe that by
providing a variety of leadership activities and service learning
projects, our students will gain a greater respect for their community
and environment. The Seven Habits of the Leader in Me are: be proactive,
begin with the end in mind, put first things first, think win-win, and
seek first to understand, and then to be understood, synergize, and
"sharpen the saw."
